Why do I get such pleasure in pulling out my kid's teeth?

My husband won%26#039;t do it. I get a sense of satisfaction when I yank those suckers out.

Why do I get such pleasure in pulling out my kid%26#039;s teeth?
You like it because you know that once they have no teeth, it won%26#039;t hurt when they bite you. At least, that%26#039;s why I do it. Nasty little buggers are always trying to bite me when I chain%26#039;em up in the yard....
Reply:Maybe you just have a sadistic streak.
Reply:You may be mean
Reply:please, please, please say it%26#039;s cause the teeth are ready to be pulled and that you are not a sadist.
Reply:you shouldn%26#039;t feel like that, my son had a tooth loose and it about killed me to have to pull it. The only reason I did pull it was because I did not want him to do it and it start to bleed without me being there to explain.
Reply:You%26#039;re crazy. Who wants to see their child in pain. You are out of your mind. Poor kids I feel sorry for them.
Reply:You are a masochist! just kidding. That is your mothering instinct kicking in. The loose tooth hurts and/or bothers your child so you enjoy pulling it to make him/her feel better. Just watch out for the tooth fairy!!
Reply:Well the first thing I would ask you is are they loose and ready to be pulled out? IF so then I would say it is probably because you are sick of hearing them complain that it hurts and that they can%26#039;t eat anything because when they chew that also hurts. My daughter lost her tooth about a week ago and this was after about 2 weeks of complaining about it. I can%26#039;t say that if she had even let me pull it out that I would have had any type of satisfaction from it but I would have been very happy to see it out.
Reply:You are the devil.
Reply:One word: COUNSELLING.
Reply:I think you do it because you think it%26#039;s best for them. However you have to stop the pediatric dentist my children see says parents can ruin their children%26#039;s teeth alignment by pulling teeth themselves. They need to be allowed to come out naturally.
Reply:evil
Reply:I%26#039;m the same way. It%26#039;s the sense of power. Do you notice that they come to you when they know it needs to be done?
Reply:I read your question about the Chubby kid. Now this? I hope your husband is strong and influences your children more than you. I feel sorry for how sad you must really be inside.
Reply:Maybe you just like collecting teeth,,,,,,, think of the ones you yanked, you can save them up then turn them to cash with the tooth fairy,,, and start a college fund, or pay some daggone dental bills off?? who knows, the options are unlimited!
Reply:subconsciously you are remember the pain and agony of your labor and child birth and its you own little way of saying %26quot;teach you to put mommy in pain for 20 hours you little monster!!!%26quot;
Reply:Because you are helping your kid out! you know it will make them happy!
Reply:Loose teeth are irritating (especially the front ones). I remember hardly being able to eat when my front teeth were loose when I was a child, and the relief I felt when one of them dropped out of its own accord.

My dad pulled all but two of my teeth out (the one that fell out by itself, and one that came out when I was eating a very chewy sweet) so don%26#039;t feel guilty about pulling your kids%26#039; teeth out. You%26#039;re actually relieving them of something very irritating.
Reply:geeze gotti.....you get satisfaction because you%26#039;re a dentist!!!!
Reply:I think you want your children to be free of pain.
Reply:You think that%26#039;s satisfying- just wait %26#039;til you pull a fingernail off for the first time! Two more and I%26#039;ll have to take up babysitting!

Seriously- you should have their heads examined. So to speak.
