Can Otho's pull teeth too?

I%26#039;m getting braces tomorrow, and I have a baby tooth that i really don%26#039;t think will come out in time. can my ortho pull it, or do i have to go to my dentist or an oral surgeon(and spend MORE money)?

Can Otho%26#039;s pull teeth too?
Our ortho sent us out - we had a choice of oral surgeon or dentist (my son needed 9 teeth pulled).

Since they were baby teeth we took the cheaper route and did the dentist - and did the laughing gas and novacaine. An oral surgeon would have put him under, but the cost was SIGNIFCANTLY cheaper.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think they can. I know my ortho arranged for my 2 eye teeth to be pulled, but they werent loose :/

He MIGHT be able to if you ask.
Reply:i think as long as they have a dental licence they can do anything that a regular dentist can
Reply:it depends. some orthos do, but others dont.

ask your ortho about it first.
Reply:My son had to go back to the dentist to have babyteeth pulled and then bqack to the ortho - so I doubt they do it.
Reply:my guess is that he wouldnt pull it because if it is not ready to come out yet, they dont want it to come out. you dont want to rush things
Reply:i had to get my molars out for jaw surgery and i had to go to an oral surgeon and my brother got his molars out and some other teeth and he went to an oral surgeon i mean i dont think the ortho can do it but i think your dentist might be able to if its not like in bedded in your gums totally
