Having 4 teeth pulled?

I am getting 4 teeth pulled for second molar substitiution because of my impacted wisdom teeth. I am so scared about this I don%26#039;t know what to do! How bad does this hurt? I heard the shot in the gums hurt worse than the actual pulling itself. Is this true? How long will this take? Any answer at all will be appreciated. I also have to get something done with my gums after I have my braces removed (which won%26#039;t be anytime soon) and I would also like to know how bad it hurts. It%26#039;s where the take a sharp knife and cut into my gums so the teeth don%26#039;t return to their normal crooked stance. They tear ligaments or something. Thank you!

Having 4 teeth pulled?
I just had all four wisdom teeth pulled and they were all impacted. that was more than a month ago and I%26#039;m still going back to the doctor now because of an infection in my lower jaw area, which is painful... But! dont worry..what I have is very uncommon. I asked! It hardly ever happens. Everyone who I asked when I was going to get them done..said that they healed just fine. You%26#039;ll get good drugs for pain. You%26#039;ll be uncomfertable for sure because you%26#039;ll need to eat only soft foods. and you%26#039;ll be sore..but The mouth is the one spot on the body that heals the quickest. Just give it time. Get lots of rest..and take your pain pills when you need it. Have lots of movies to watch while your recovering and you%26#039;ll be better in no time! Good luck! :-)
Reply:I never even had a cavity so getting my teeth pulled was sooo scary. Yet when I was all done I didn%26#039;t feel ANYTHING but just uncomfortability. I had them impacted and they had to open my gums to get to the teeth. Honestly the worst part is not being able to eat what you want. I was 18 when I had this done and about 6 hours later I wanted to go out with my friends no matter how ridiculous I looked. So you odn%26#039;t have anything to worry about! I feel if people were in SEVERE pain that maybe they were milking it because I honestly had no problems what so ever! Another gross part if you have ot shoot water into the holes of your mouth afterwards so that food doesn%26#039;t get stuck in the stiches it%26#039;s gross but you get used to it!
Reply:Don%26#039;t worry at all the thing that only hurts is the meds that the needle gives you but after that it is completely painless
Reply:it wont hurt. they%26#039;ll numb you down like it was for a filling or whatever, and then they pull them out.
Reply:I just had mine taken out yesterday. I did what you yourself are doing. I looked on the internet for how other people had to deal with it, and what they went through. I got myself all nervous and was actually ready to reschedule from what I had read. Instead I went in yesterday, and they hooked me up to an iv. They told me they were going to relax me, so gave me a slight injection, and boom I was out. Dont remember a thing. All I remember is waking up from what felt like to be 10 seconds later and I was done. NO pain. NO swelling. Nothing. All those horror stories were not true for me. I was perfectly fine. And I could talk. I was even yelling a couple hours later while I was joking with my friends. It is now a day later, and I still have no pain, no swelling, and no bleeding. My wisdom teeth bled for like 10 minutes. Don%26#039;t beleive everything you read. Trust me. I had all four taken out. Two fo them were impacted and one was totally cracked at the gumline. Only thing that sucks is that you cant eat much the first day. lol. Dont be scared.
