Tooth Pulling..?

I had a tooth pulled on Friday. I had the normal pain and swelling which comes with pulling a tooth, but under my tounge in the inside of my mouth where the tooth was extracted I have a bit of swelling. I am not in any real pain, just the soreness from the pulling, but I had a tooth pulled before and never had swelling inside of my mouth. Did anyone ever have this before, and is it normal?

Tooth Pulling..?
I think it just depends on the area where the tooth was pulled. Last year I had to get both of the back teeth on both sides of my mouth pulled. Well, it didn%26#039;t hurt at all and hardly no swelling. Now a month ago, I had to go back and get an other tooth pulled. It was one of those up front teeth(I think it%26#039;s called a K-9), and it is still pretty sensitive. It%26#039;s healing really slow. I think if you just give it time you should be alright. No drinking threw a straw and no smoking though. You don%26#039;t want to get a dry socket. Those things hurt real bad. Right now, my wisdom teeth are growing into the spot where I had the first two pulled.
Reply:it is a major trauma to your mouth -expect anything. If it interferes with swallowing get help. Eating things high in vitamin A -like squashes and melons helps the inflammation and healing.
Reply:i%26#039;ve had problems with it befor, and i%26#039;m pretty sure its normal cus every time i got a tooth pulled that happened to me

Might have to get my teeth pulled for braces?

My orthodontist said that because my teeth are crowded and I have a %26quot;stuck%26quot; wisdom tooth I might have to have 4 teeth (2 on the bottom and 2 on the top) pulled to make more space in my mouth. He said that it is not for sure yet but likely--he might change his mind and I won%26#039;t have my teeth pulled (that would be great), but I am REALLY nervous at the possabillity of my teeth being pulled.

If anybody can help me that would be great.

-What is it like to get teeth pulled?

-What is the process/What do they do when they pull your teeth?

-Does it hurt?

-What does it feel like afterwords?

-Should I get 2 done at one appointment and then 2 at another or should I do it all at the same time?

-Any other information about getting teeth pulled would be really great!

I would really like to hear from people who have gotten their teeth pulled for braces and dentist who have delt with this situation before

Any kind of comfort you could offer me would be great.

Thanks in advance

Might have to get my teeth pulled for braces?
it is acommon procedure to pull 4 teeth before starting orthodontic treatment since you have crowded teeth

and the answers you want are

-What is it like to get teeth pulled?

totally painless procedure

What is the process/What do they do when they pull your teeth?

dentist start giving you local anesthesia using injection

the pain of injection can be decreased by applying anesthetic gel to the site prior to the injection

during extraction you feel nothing except the slight pressure

used to pull tooth out but no pain

-Does it hurt?

no it does not

-What does it feel like afterwords?

you will be unable to eat hard food on the area of extraction

for 3 days but you can eat soft food

-Should I get 2 done at one appointment and then 2 at another or should I do it all at the same time?

you can do the 4 in the same time but anesthetizing 4 quarters means that numbness following anesthesia will be too much and very unpleasant feeling

my advice to do 2 in atom this is much easier for you

last note

after extraction follow your dentist instruction carefully

and don%26#039;t be afraid

good luck dear
Reply:1 st get a second opinion and next just relax.....also i would say get it done on a Friday so you can rest the weekend......
Reply:I did have then taken out and it was well worth it. Yes it sucked, but I was awake so if you can be put to sleep I would recommend it. Once the teeth are out they feel weird, the openings but once you braces start doing their things in a couple of years the spaces will be gone. If anything get a second opinion.
Reply:I feel your pain. I had 4 teeth pulled as well. The ones in the very back. I was nervous too but after it was over you feel better except for feeling crappy about the fact that you can%26#039;t eat the foods you want. But the endless ice cream and Jell-o is great :0). The dentist will just numb you and taking the teeth out depends. if the tooth is under the gums and is pushing on your teeth he%26#039;ll Numb the gums and he%26#039;ll pull it out. The tooth is long, though; it%26#039;s crazy! But he%26#039;ll probably suture your gums or not and that makes space for your wisdom teeth. I don%26#039;t know about your procedure but it might go somewhere along those lines, depending on the dentist as well. Hope this helps. Don%26#039;t worry, you will only feel some pressure while the tooth is being pulled out, but that%26#039;s about it. It%26#039;s nothing to worry about. But hey, it%26#039;s worth it. You get a nice smile when it%26#039;s over.
Reply:don%26#039;t worry it doesn%26#039;t hurt. they numb your mouth (this hurts a bit)and pull it. when they pull it it just feels feels like wiggling a big tooth if they numbed it enough.I%26#039;ve had 4 teeth pulled also it is better to get them done 2 first and 2 a second time. it hurts a bit after , ice cream helps. get it done on a friday so u can rest for the weekend. good luck!
Reply:I just got braces 2 weeks ago and had to have four teeth pulled. All they do is just numb you with novaine and then they take an instrument and move the tooth back and forth to loosen it and then they pull it out. One of my teeth had to be surgically removed which meant that he had to cut down into the gum to pull it out. That was the only really painful site. Afterwards, you will still be numb for a few hours and you will experience some soreness. I had all mine done at one time, so its up to you and your dentist if you want to do it over 2 visits. It might be better to get them pulled all at once. I was just so anxious to get my braces so I just went ahead and did it to get it over with. Email me if I can be of further help.
Reply:dont worry. If you need teeth removed then they will give you pain medicine (probably local anesthesia to prevent feeling anything). You will look great when the braces are complete and the orthodontist knows what he/she is doing. Trust them they have done this before with other patients. Having teeth removed is common.
Reply:OK i had mine done 2 days ago. Here is how my day went.

It was a wednesday and i had to meet my orthodontist at his office at 8 a.m. I woke up as if it were a regular school day and met my ortho at his office. The guy who pulled them was only a couple of blocks from my ortho. so we walked and when i got there they called me back and i sat in the chair. Then he came in and gave me a q-tip with this numbing stuff. Then he gave me a 4 shots because like u i needed 4 pulled to make room for braces. The shot felt like a pinch and kinda hurt. Then he left for a couple of min and after 3 min my mouth was very very numb. Then he took this tool and pushed my tooth and this hurt the worst. Even with novacain. He told me to tell him when it was unbearable pain and he would give me more novacain. Well i ended up getting the shot 8 times. Once he pushed it around he took another tool and swirled it around and pulled it out. That didnt hurt at all. He did this 4 times and it took about 45 min. Then they put some gauges in. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT! If you take these out your mouth will bleed profusly and it may take longer to get the braces on. You have to wear them for an hour afterwards. Then when i got out of the chair i fell because i felt lightheaded for some reason. Once i got back on my feet i had to walk ALL the way back to the orthodontists office to my moms car. And since i got all those shots my mouth was so numb i coudnt feel my own saliva. So i was drooling everywhere. I felt dehrydrated but my mouth was full with spit. But when i got home my gums really hurt. To my surprise they didnt pull the teeth like you do when you lose your baby teeth. They actually pull the roots along with it. I ate some ramen noodles when i got hungry and later i tried some chicken fingers but that didnt work out too good. My mouth was numb for about 4 hours afterwards. Chewing doesnt work because if anything touches your gums where the teeth were pulled it will hurt. If your gums are still bleeding hours afterwards put more gauges in. They will be purple for about a week afterwards but thats normal. Now its been 2 days and today i ate tacos at school for lunch. The only thing i wish i could stop is this feeling that when i move my tounge there is a hole. There is also a tickle sensation going on. I would suggest getting them pulled all at one time unless you wanna go through this twice. Just know that in 2 years you will have perfect teeth and it will be worth it. I hope everything goes well and you get what you want.

Teeth PULLED! Dentists help me!!?

I have to get 4 teeth pulled; 2 on the top, 2 on the bottom.

The ones on the top are right next to my %26#039;vampire teeth%26#039;.

The 2 on the bottom is the tooth after the tooth right next to the bottom vampires.

will it be really hard to get my teeth out?

what if my teeth wont stop bleeding really heavily?

could i die from getting these pulled? can they break my jaw? is there a chance my nerves will get damaged and then my face will be droopy?

yeah i have braces and my teeth are real crowded and they wont move unless they take teeth out.

Teeth PULLED! Dentists help me!!?
There are always %26quot;risks%26quot; with any medical procedure but the actual chances are VERY low. The risks you mention really don%26#039;t come into play. Your mouth will bleed while the procedure is going on, but probably won%26#039;t afterwards. Try calling and talking to your dentist or go in for a special appointment if you%26#039;re really as scared as you sound. It will probably help calm you and alleviate your fears.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted on a Friday afternoon and went to prom the next day without looking like a freak :) I even had a friend who had teeth pulled and met her future husband later than night. So, while there will be some swelling, it shouldn%26#039;t be anything major. Your dentist will tell you how to take care of the areas where your teeth were so you don%26#039;t have any problems.
Reply:it seems that you%26#039;re pretty freaked out about this

it%26#039;s not that crazy, you won%26#039;t bleed, you won%26#039;t ruin

your jawline and you won%26#039;t die because of that

usually it%26#039;s pretty painless just make sure that

the dentist have the equivalent to morphine

to make sure you won%26#039;t feel a thing during

the procedure
Reply:I%26#039;ve been there.It%26#039;s not so bad. I had my 4 wisdom out all in one sitting.

There are some swelling a couple of days and bleeding is not a problem.

If there is swelling, put ice packs your face.
Reply:YOUR HAVING BRACES AND NEED TO HAVE YOUR FIRST BICUSPIDS EXTRACTED.

Theyre pulling out my baby tooth...im scared!?

im 14 yrs. old and i got my braces put on in dec. they didnt put them on one of my teeth, a baby tooth. the last baby tooth i have. because it never came out the permanent tooth grew in my gum, impacted tooth as they call it. im getting it pulled on tues. and i think they are going to cut my gum so the permanent tooth can slide down. i was just wondering if it hurts to have a tooth pulled. its never happened to me and im really scared. im going to an amusement park a couple of days after, will i be in pain then, too much to go? please answer, i am clueless as to whats going to happen. my mom says having a baby tooth pulled is not as bad as having like wisdom teeth pulled or whatever. thanks a lot! =D

Theyre pulling out my baby tooth...im scared!?
If you have a good dentist, there should be no pain at all. The put a topical agent on your gum before the needle so you don%26#039;t even feel the needle. Once numb, you feel nothing.

If you are really nervous, they my offer you (or you can ask for) Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) - it relaxes you.

The difference with baby teeth is - they have no roots. The just kind of sit there. There isn%26#039;t much of anything holding them in.

Relax - it should be no biggie.
Reply:sorry good luck, and yes it hurts, badly
Reply:I had 4 teeth taken out wen i was 11

it killed and they havent grown back yet.

Your lips feel well numb after

Reply:They numb your mouth so it doesn%26#039;t hurt a bit. Don%26#039;t worry it doesn%26#039;t hurt at all, I%26#039;ve hasd to get 5 teeth pulled while I%26#039;ve had braces on. I am also 14 years old. Good luck!
Reply:Getting teeth pulled isn%26#039;t like it used to be. Your dentist will probably use a little Novocaine to numb your jaw. Ask her to use that probe thing that they wiggle around the tooth to loosen it first.
Reply:It doesn%26#039;t hurt. The dentist does it all the time. It is quick, not bad at all.
Reply:I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled and the shot to deaden the area hurt just a little bit for about 10 seconds then nothing hurt at all. I just felt him moving and pushing to get the teeth out but it didnt hurt, just felt pressure.
Reply:well... they will numb you, and that kind of hurts... but other than that its not too bad. of course its going to hurt but you will be fine... when i got mine pulled it only hurt for that day, so you shouldn%26#039;t hurt when you go to the amusement park. but be careful what you eat because i was eating potato chips the day after and they cut into my gums and it hurt a lot and it bled a lot.
Reply:ur mom iz right and they give sum thing so u won%26#039;t feel it and just sum med%26#039;s to stop tha pain afterward

Do they ever pull other teeth and let the wisdom teeth grow in?

I was told I%26#039;ll have to have surgery to remove my wisdom teeth eventually. I guess my existing teeth are too tightly packed, so the wisdom teeth wouldn%26#039;t grow in all the way and would create an abscess. (I think, it was a while ago, just after being told I had narrowly avoided a root canal, so I was a little distracted).

So, basically, since the only reason I was given for needing surgery was I had too many teeth, I want to know if there%26#039;s a method that just involves pulling one of the already-cut teeth to allow the wisdom teeth the room to grow in. Thanks!

Do they ever pull other teeth and let the wisdom teeth grow in?
It is possible but it%26#039;s not recommended and you%26#039;ll probably only find a shady dentist willing to do it. Very few dentists are willing to extract healthy teeth. There is also no guarantee that your wisdom teeth will shift into place correctly. They can become tilted and leave a huge gap toward the gum line which will end up becoming a food trap and cause gum problems. Or they won%26#039;t shift enough leaving a gap and again becoming a food trap. It%26#039;s nearly impossible to tell which way teeth will move. If you get other teeth pulled out you%26#039;ll more than likely end up needing braces to get the wisdom teeth in the right postion. Once you take out healthy permanent teeth you%26#039;re risking alot going wrong with your smile. ( unless recommended by an orthodontist)

It%26#039;s just easier to get your wisdom teeth out . That surgery isn%26#039;t as scary as it seems you won%26#039;t even know what happened
Reply:I don%26#039;t know, but it is a question I have often pondered as it would be easier to remove the other teeth, rather than the Wisdom teeth.

I%26#039;m going to keep my eye on this and find out!
Reply:I had 4 molars pulled to make room for my wisdom teeth and haven%26#039;t had any complications yet. They took X rays before hand to check the position of the wisdom teeth to make sure that they were positioned properly to come in straight.
Reply:Yes it can be an option.

Usually it is an option if either the first or second molar is badly damaged by accident or decay.

But you have to remember that the root structure of a first or second molar is usually are more spread out and therefore better able to take the stress of your biting forces than are the roots of most wisdom teeth which are usually more conical.

Also, teeth move forward, not backwards. So if you create a space by removing the first or second molar, you had better hope that the wisdom tooth %26quot;drifts%26quot; into place the way you want it to, or else you may need braces to help you get it into place.

How will I be able to afford the dentist at 18? What is the general cost of root canal or tooth pulling?

I%26#039;m 17-years-old with 2 bad cavities. I%26#039;ve had them since I was 9 or 10 years old. I%26#039;ve had a swollen jaw on each side when I was 15. Nothing happened at 16 and now I missed a pep rally for my senior year because of one of the teeth. Although my face isnt as swollen there is a tightness where I cant smile right now. My mom acts like I cant just go to get it pulled or a root canal. I kno if I just got a filling at 10 which woulda been way cheaper I wouldnt have anything to worry about. I know its probably expensive but I dont want my teeth to be the cause of my death! My mom rarely has any teeth and with her attitude towards the dentist I can see why. What procedures will I have to go through so my face wont swell anymore (root canal, tooth pulling etc...) and what is a general cost for it? When I%26#039;m 18 I plan on getting a regular dentist but I need to know the procedures %26amp; wait until I turn 18 within the next 5 months. Thank you.

How will I be able to afford the dentist at 18? What is the general cost of root canal or tooth pulling?
you can apply for emergency assistance..or find a dentist that allows you to make payments..a tooth pulling usually costs about 100 dollars and a root canal can cost up to 500..call around.
Reply:Your best bet is to see if there is a dental school anywhere near you. Their prices are usually 50-80% LESS than a dentist ... because it%26#039;s a school where they are teaching students to become dentists. All the students are monitored by instructors - so don%26#039;t worry too much. My Dad got a full set of dentures for $300 at a dental school!
Reply:I had to have four teeth pulled for braces. It cost $500 for all four so that was $125 to pull one tooth.
Reply:You now have something called an abcess, let me tell you that this can cause death, (I%26#039;m not kidding, my mom is a dentist) you need to take care of it now!! It happens when you don%26#039;t get cavities drilled out and filled in, and the bacteria from the deep cavity goes into your bloodstream from the tooth and can kill you. You should see a dentist right away and see if you can be on a payment plan.--Best of luck!
Reply:The cost will be $100 to $200 out of pocket, depending on the difficulty and the type of anesthetic used.

Why are some dentists so hesitant to pull teeth?

I had a badly damaged tooth worked on today and it was described as %26#039;the tooth from hell.%26#039; I gave the dentist permission to pull it and she said no. She said it may give me trouble in the future... so why not pull it now? It%26#039;s a upper, rear molar.

Why are some dentists so hesitant to pull teeth?
When you have a tooth pulled, other teeth shift, the teeth behind will shift forward, the lower teeth will start to %26quot;grow%26quot; upward to fill the space causing a number of problems.

Teeth are meant to last a lifetime. I%26#039;m sure she would rather try and save your tooth than extract and replace later

Be true to your teeth - or they%26#039;ll be FALSE to you!!!!
Reply:Teeth do a lot more than give us a pretty smile. Nutritional status and general well-being can be affected by bad teeth or lack of teeth.

If your teeth are bad or missing, you might not eat the right foods because of not being able to chew them properly.
Reply:Because most dentist are in the business of saving teeth, once you start pulling teeth it can become a domino effect causing you to have to have more teeth pulled in the future. When you pull teeth it can change your bite and cause other teeth to drift. Think of it this way if you broke your arm you wouldn%26#039;t just have them cut if off, because you could have problems with that arm again in the future. The same goes for your teeth.
Reply:because teeth don%26#039;t grow back and if they can get a few more years out of it they will, besides some insurances won%26#039;t pay unless they exhaust all options first.
Reply:AN ORAL SURGEON WOULD PULL IT THAT DAY.

WHY?

THEY KNOW WHAT TO DO AND HOW TO DO IT.
Reply:Sometimes it is not question of the tooth being bad, it may have been difficult to fill because of the contact area or because of a deep bite. In those cases it is not necessarily that the tooth need to be pulled, it may just be tough to get the filling material to comply with where the dentist wanted to place it .That is so you don%26#039;t end up with food getting caught in between the teeth or have a hard time flossing. Also sometimes when the bite is close the opposing tooth can crumble a new restoration easily .

It is better to keep it as long as you can IF it ends up not giving you any grief, and sometimes when a dentist fills a tooth like yours, it is a guessing game, but we do all we can to retain rather than extract.

Hope it works out well for you.
Reply:After a tooth has been damaged or destroyed, restoration of the missing structure can be achieved with a variety of treatments. Restorations may be created from a variety of materials, including amalgam, gold, porcelain, and composite. Small restorations placed inside a tooth are referred to as %26quot;intracoronal restorations%26quot;. These restorations may be formed directly in the mouth or may be cast using the lost-wax technique, such as for some inlays and onlays. When larger portions of a tooth are lost, an %26quot;extracoronal restoration%26quot; may be fabricated, such as a crown or a veneer, to restore the involved tooth.

When a tooth is lost, dentures, bridges, or implants may be used as replacements. Dentures are usually the least costly whereas implants are usually the most expensive. Dentures may replace complete arches of the mouth or only a partial number of teeth. Bridges replace smaller spaces of missing teeth and use adjacent teeth to support the restoration. Dental implants may be used to replace a single tooth or a series of teeth. Though implants are the most expensive treatment option, they are often the most desirable restoration because of their esthetics and function. To improve the function of dentures, implants may be used as support.

Can Otho's pull teeth too?

I%26#039;m getting braces tomorrow, and I have a baby tooth that i really don%26#039;t think will come out in time. can my ortho pull it, or do i have to go to my dentist or an oral surgeon(and spend MORE money)?

Can Otho%26#039;s pull teeth too?
Our ortho sent us out - we had a choice of oral surgeon or dentist (my son needed 9 teeth pulled).

Since they were baby teeth we took the cheaper route and did the dentist - and did the laughing gas and novacaine. An oral surgeon would have put him under, but the cost was SIGNIFCANTLY cheaper.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think they can. I know my ortho arranged for my 2 eye teeth to be pulled, but they werent loose :/

He MIGHT be able to if you ask.
Reply:i think as long as they have a dental licence they can do anything that a regular dentist can
Reply:it depends. some orthos do, but others dont.

ask your ortho about it first.
Reply:My son had to go back to the dentist to have babyteeth pulled and then bqack to the ortho - so I doubt they do it.
Reply:my guess is that he wouldnt pull it because if it is not ready to come out yet, they dont want it to come out. you dont want to rush things
Reply:i had to get my molars out for jaw surgery and i had to go to an oral surgeon and my brother got his molars out and some other teeth and he went to an oral surgeon i mean i dont think the ortho can do it but i think your dentist might be able to if its not like in bedded in your gums totally

Is it better to be sedated when you get your wisdom teeth pulled?

I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled, and I am hoping to take out all four. To be placed on an IV sedation will be pretty costly for me, but if I elect not to, the insurance will take care of most of the procedure. Has anyone gone through multiple wisdom teeth pulling without being sedated and had a %26quot;good%26quot; experience?

Is it better to be sedated when you get your wisdom teeth pulled?
Yes - its not that big a deal. You won%26#039;t feel any pain during the process but you will be a bit sore afterwards.
Reply:Being sedated helps the dentist in case the wisdom teeth are hard to get out. You will be relaxed and not feel a thing. I had 4 out at one time, and didn%26#039;t feel a thing. Then I woke up but was groggy for a while.
Reply:You%26#039;ll get Novocain and will only feel pressure when their pulled. You will feel the same amount of pain after it%26#039;s done regardless of what way you do it.
Reply:LYNN,

PERHAPS THE GREATEST BENEFIT TO YOU IS THAT YOU%26#039;RE ASLEEP FOR THE WHOLE THING AND WON%26#039;T REMEMBER ANY OF IT. MANY PEOPLE LIKE THIS FOR MULTIPLE EXTRACTIONS.
Reply:The only problem with being completely sedated is that a tube will need to be inserted into your throat to keep you breathing and this, inevitably, will be in the way of where your dentist is trying to work. The easiest rout for both you and your dentist would be to take a Valium and have them use Novocaine. Be sure to bring your ipod to listen to during the procedure and I highly recommend having the person who will be driving you ask if they can go fill your prescription for your pain killers during your surgery so you don%26#039;t have to wait for them after wards. Good luck!
Reply:I%26#039;m a dentist.

Is it better to be sedated when you have your wisdom teeth pulled? Well, that all depends. If you%26#039;re morbidly obese with a restricted airway, then no, it%26#039;s not. If you have a history of severe allergies to various general anesthetics, then no, it%26#039;s not. If you have severe respiratory problems or cardiovascular diseases, then no, it%26#039;s not.

My point is this: being sedated is one of three anesthesia options you have for a surgical procedure like wisdom teeth extractions. What you and your doctor need to decide (together) is which option is best for you. That means choosing the option that is 1. sufficiently safe for you and at the same time 2. comfortable for you.

I perform surgical wisdom teeth extractions all the time, and I do not offer IV sedation. I do, however, use nitrous oxide along with a pre-operative dose of Xanax (in addition to generous local anesthesia). Generally, I find most patients to be quite comfortable with this. Still, though, there are some patients for whom I need to abort the procedure, and some patients who I will not treat (i.e. I refer the to oral surgeons, who are trained to provide intravenous sedation).

Basically, you need to carefully assess your ability to cooperate during what amounts to be a relatively unpleasant procedure. Extracting wisdom teeth involves a lot of pushing and stretching, and sometimes drilling. If you are a relatively calm person who can tolerate these sensations (and perhaps a little discomfort), then having the surgery without sedation would be fine. If not, you will need some sort of sedation (or general anesthesia in an operating room setting if you are not a suitable candidate for IV sedation).

Good luck!

P.S. Someone above me mentioned that sedation requires a tube in your throat. This is wrong!!! There are different levels of general anesthesia, and IV sedation is a lighter form of general anesthesia where your respiratory drive remains intact. Only under full general anesthesia (i.e. where you are unable to breathe on your own) do you need a tube placed down your trachea. Moreover, even in such cases, the tube isn%26#039;t placed in your mouth, it%26#039;s placed in your nose and passed through your pharynx and down to your trachea.

Do they pull teeth if your pregnant?

I am 39 weeks pregnant I have been up all night with a horrible tooth ache..I went to the dentist and they told me to come back with a slip from my obgyn and then the dentist will see me they said everything stops because I am pregnant..Has any one got a tooth pulled pregant? I am in sooo much pain.

Do they pull teeth if your pregnant?
Most doctors will allow you to get your tooth pulled now. They will only be allowed to use a local anesthetic insdead of a general one. You will not be able to get any xrays done though. Also, I am unsure of the pain meds. You may have to tough it out with some tylenol. Good luck!
Reply:To my knowledge they will pull teeth but with no anesthetic.
Reply:Yes and the OBGYN should be able to fax a note and fast. Get some ambisol (spelling?) to numb your tooth
Reply:Go to your normal doctor and ask if you can!
Reply:Most dentist will avoid major dental work until after you have the baby. X rays are a major restriction so there isn%26#039;t much they can do.
Reply:Wow - 39 weeks and it just started hurting or have you been putting it off?

I am only 7 weeks and I just had a filling and my ob said it was no problem.
Reply:because you are so far along, they don%26#039;t want to use anesthetic, as it definitely would have an effect on the baby. Go to your OBGYN and see what he says, but my guess would be to wait because of how far along you are. try sensodyne toothpaste and orajel (or ambesol...whichever) and don%26#039;t take aspirin, stick with something safe for the baby.

I'm getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out. Local or general anesthetic? Tell your stories!?

None of the teeth have erupted yet. I%26#039;m 16 years old, which means that the chances of any complications coming up are nil. If I choose general anesthetic, I%26#039;ll have to be referred to a doctor/surgeon guy, which would be more of an inconvenience (I start school soon %26amp; I want to get it over with) but more preferable, in my opinion, because I won%26#039;t be aware of the surgeon cutting open my gums, drilling through the bone, and pulling at the tooth. What to do, what to do?

I%26#039;m getting all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out. Local or general anesthetic? Tell your stories!?
If you trust your dentist go with what he suggest. The only thing you might not like is the sounds it makes. Other than that if the dentist is fairly young you have nothing to worry about because new dentistry is basically painless.
Reply:General, no need to hear the bones crack!
Reply:I had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out at the same time with a local anesthetic and it worked well for me. I don%26#039;t think that you should use a general anesthetic unless you really need to because of possible complications.
Reply:GENERAL GENERAL GENERAL..............
Reply:General, definately. I got teeth pulled with local, and I don%26#039;t care how much the dentist insisted it wasn%26#039;t pain, it hurt. When I got my wisdom teeth out, I just woke up and it was over.
Reply:I stayed awake the whole time i had it done. Felt weird to see them using things like little hammers and scalpels to get the teeth out. Only discomfort I felt was that rubber contraption they used to hold the jaw open, and then pain when the anesthetic wore off. Oddly enough, i didn%26#039;t go under, because my mom had casually mentioned to me that some people don%26#039;t wake up.
Reply:Oh God. When I had mine done, I had local. And I heard the bone crunching inside my head....ohhhh it was gross. I still cringe when I think of it.

However, they can have the teeth out before the anesthesia takes hold. May as well go local and try not to get grossed out! :)
Reply:oo poor u! couple of yrs ago i had 3 teeth pulled under G/A in hospital. and last week had my last one pulled by local.

now when u are asleep yes u wont be aware of it but because u are asleep and wont feel anything they are rather ruthless when pulling them out. i was in theatre for less than 10 mins having 3 teeth pulled and when i had the one out it took about that for 1!

its going to hurt having all 4 done thats no question because they are big teeth.

i thought i wouldnt cope getting mine pulled by my dentists but he had the time to do it there and then so i had to time to worry. he was gentle and i didnt feel him take it out atall. only the pressure which was nothing.

i dont know where u are in world but when my one wisdom tooth hadnt come thro properly they wouldnt remove it atall - thats why i didnt get all 4 out in hospital. i dont understand why they are taking them out if they not through yet and not likely to cause you any problems. if only if they are going to cas problems they are likely to be removed

the decision is toally urs but thats my story. hope it helps
Reply:I just had local and I could feel the blood spatter across my face when they pulled one of my teeth.
Reply:I had mine pulled 30 years ago with novocaine and a %26quot;laughing gas%26quot; type thing and that was enough to not be in pain at the time. (I guess that%26#039;s somewhere between local and general). But my head %26amp; jaw hurt for several days after. I%26#039;m sure it is better to have it done and over with, and general anes. is probably gonna make it easier on you overall. But have %26#039;em give you something more than over-the-counter Tylenol for a few days after, too. Good luck 2 U.
Reply:Local will cost you half as much as being put under. If your paying out of pocket that is. It was $1200 for all 4 of mine or $600 if I didnt get put to sleep. I recommend local and a mp3 player. If you cant hear the teeth breaking or the drill your much better off.
Reply:look if you dont have any complication and after seeing the xray and your oral cavity the dentist feels that there is no complication then why are you getting all your wisdom teeth out for no reason at all(and going through such a pain to get them out)...just leave them where they are and chances are that you wont have any problem later in your life...

However if you do have some complication or your dentist thinks that you are prone to any complication then general anesthesia is a bit more preffered then local anesthesia(because in local anesthesia you would have to get all your teeth out in different appointments but in general anesthesia you wont feel anything and more imortantly you will get all of them out in one surgery(although obviously the general anesthesia will cost you more...)

once again i would say that if you dont have any problem and your dentist thinks that you are not prone to any complication then dont get them out because most people have wisdom teeth throughout their lives and they dont have any problem at all...
Reply:You couldn%26#039;t pay me to have it done under local! I had all four of mine out under general. I went to sleep and woke up, it was done. I was shivering and cold after, and of course drowsy. But, I think I would have freaked out if I was awake.
Reply:I had 3 fully-impacted teeth and one partial impaction. I had IV sedation and would definitely recommend that approach, especially if you%26#039;re covered under your parents%26#039; insurance. Demerol, Brevitol, Valium and some painkiller kept me blissfully unaware of what was going on in my mouth during surgery, but allowed me to wake up without any hangover or grogginess. I actually felt terrific as soon as the surgeon said my name and told me it was over.

At least where I live, there are tons of oral surgeons -- you should be able to get in to see someone (good) for an initial consultation within a week and have the surgery just days later.

No matter which anaesthesia option you choose, you%26#039;ll have facial bruises for a couple of weeks from the retraction, so you%26#039;ll likely be in school looking like a domestic abuse victim whether you have your dentist do the work or get referred to an oral surgeon.
Reply:I had IV sedation and don%26#039;t remember anything at all; just woke up afterwards. But really, considering how many local injections they must have used, I think it was totally unnecessary and they just insisted on it to get more money.

I don%26#039;t think I would have cared all that much if I did have to be awake and hear them cut the teeth out, but I never had any dentist phobias.

By the way, mine were all unerupted and bone-impacted, and the surgery still took less than an hour, so it%26#039;s not a big deal. I%26#039;ve had longer and more annoying dental procedures with tooth bleaching (awake and bored to death).

I have to get my teeth pulled tomorrow...does it hurt?

i%26#039;m so freakin scared at this point...they have to stick a needle in my arm to put me to sleep i HATE needles! does it hurt...the teeth pulling afterwards?

I have to get my teeth pulled tomorrow...does it hurt?
Not really. You have that many pain killers that it really doesnt hurt too much at all. The pain is worse a couple of days after when it bruises a little bit, but even then i think people make it sound worse than it is.
Reply:You will feel no pain and it will be over before you know it !!!

Good luck.
Reply:Yes, afterwards it hurts. But they give you medication to sleep. It%26#039;s best to pull them rather than live with the reason they need pulled!
Reply:Calm down it is not bad just some discomfort. Needle is not big deal unless you freak out about it. I have been stuck with needles plenty-no big deal. The anxiety of it is the worst thing. Just calm down and get a good night sleep. If you are worried about pain as the dentist to give you something to go home on. Most likely they will anyway. It just feels weird for a few days in your mouth with a hole where the tooth used to be.
Reply:they put the needle in the mouth ===you can choose to have gas to make you groggy enough that you won%26#039;t feel anything happening while the dentist works on your teeth and you are in a dody mood when you go home =make sure someone is with you okay and good luck
Reply:I%26#039;ve had two pulled in the last year. I%26#039;m not going to lye, it%26#039;s not pleasant, but it%26#039;s certainly not the worst thing the world. You%26#039;ll feel pressure more than anything else but you%26#039;ll be numb so it%26#039;s ok. Afterward, you might hurt a little, but the dentist should give you pills. Just relax and everything will be ok. Good luck.
Reply:The needles are horribly long and you can hear them, but they numb the area before injecting, its not sore really. As for the actual pulling, NOT AT ALL SORE. You feel absolutly nothing apart from a pulling sensation. and might see a lot of blood, don%26#039;t worry. I thought getting mine out was fun actually, and I hate needles, but ya just got to grow up and face it, its fine.

They are putting you to sleep? (just read the end of the post)

Well what the f*ck are you worried about then? I was fully concious!

When you%26#039;re under anesthesia its like your awake one second, then you wake up the next second and you%26#039;re somewhere else. (or in your case the teeth are gone)

Its pretty cool.
Reply:It doesn%26#039;t hurt a lot , but what about trying and telling us , lol ?
Reply:I have a fear of dentists. I have had half my teeth pulled and they have used IV sedation. Best thing ever. It does hurt afterward. But usually they give you pain meds to help it. Good Luck
Reply:It depends on which tooth your pulling. Molars and other teeth are ok and it doesn%26#039;t really hurt. I got 4 molars removed just for my braces! They actually stick the needle into your gums/vein to numb it with Novacaineand pull it out. They use gas to put you to sleep. The only thing you%26#039;ll feel when they pull your teeth is pressure, its not painful but uncomfortable. If your pulling out Wisdom Teeth it might be another story and it might take some days to heal. Other than Wisdom teeth, the other teeth are fine to pull out and it heals within a day or 2days. There isn%26#039;t much pain afterwards, just slight discomfort. Well, think about it, there are far more worst pain in this world than pulling teeth out like pregnancy. So don%26#039;t worry, i got 4 pulled out and it was fine. It%26#039;s not going to be scary or anything.
Reply:It depends on how many teeth get pulled. For me, they took out one tooth. It didn%26#039;t hurt at all. And I%26#039;m still a teen. It doesn%26#039;t hurt, but it bleeds A LOT. Even after the sleepiness goes away, it doesn%26#039;t hurt. Take it from someone who%26#039;s been there. It%26#039;ll be totally fine.
Reply:I had a non-impacted wisdom tooth pulled a few days ago. With proper numbing agents, you will feel the needle, and it will be at most uncomfortable. It%26#039;s not painful at all. I wasn%26#039;t even aware of the actual moment of extraction. The biggest feedback that something was happening was hearing a crack (I actually heard two of them).

The bigger problem is the aftermath. Get any prescription for painkillers and antibiotics filled immediately, and don%26#039;t be afraid to use the painkillers as needed.

In my own case, I should have had the extraction done years ago. The wisdom tooth was growing at an outward angle, cutting into my cheek. Every few years it would grow again, and cut deeper, causing severe pain. It would last a few weeks and then my cheek would adjust. This time I got rid of the tooth for good.

A few questions about getting wisom teeth pulled??

1. how much does it hurt and for how long?

2. do the pain pills they give you for the pain after the pulling cause nausea?

3. will it cause swelling around my face??! school starts on monday and i%26#039;m getting my teeth pulled thursday. if there is swelling how do i get rid of it?

thanks!

A few questions about getting wisom teeth pulled??
I had all 4 of mine pulled (at the age of 24) . 3 of them came out easily, the last had to be cut out. The 3 that were just pulled didnt seem to hurt that bad. It felt like just getting your teeth pulled. The one that had to get cut out caused me alot of pain. I ended up getting a dry socket. We couldnt figure out how that happened cause I dont smoke, and I never sucked on a straw or anything like that. I was given Tylenol with codeine. Codeine will and can cause nausea if you are not used to it.

This will/can cause swelling.

The best thing to do for it is put ice on it for 15 min, wait 10 min then put a hot pack on for 15 min. Switch back and forth between the ice and the hot pack. It should help. Ibuprofen helped also, due to it being an anti-inflamatory medicine which helps with swelling. The dentist will give you strict instructions and you need to follow them carefully.
Reply:My mom got hers pulled.

1. It hurt for about two days to her and it bleed for many hours, it hurt her bad enough to give her a head ache.

2. She didn%26#039;t get any.

3. Yes it swells, but after a while its hardly noticeable.. I don%26#039;t think there is a way of getting swelling to go away.
Reply:Totally depends on your age

the older you are the worse it is. I think as you age the roots of the wisdom tooth wrap around your jawbone. Then the dentist has to break it in place and remove it in pieces.

if you are young it should be not bad

I wouldn%26#039;t expect much swelling (again cuz you are young)

I know people who had them pulled in the late 30%26#039;s and thier whole head was swollen and purple
Reply:i%26#039;ve heard that it has hurt really bad and people are usaully out of it for a few days... i feel really sorry for you... my friend is getting all 4 of hers pulled and school starts monday for us too... good luck....
Reply:ok to make it as pain free as possible follow all the dentists advice, probally be sore for the day and usually back to normal by the next day, shouldnt be much swelling at all, should only need a couple of panadol and thats about it
Reply:1. it doesn%26#039;t hurt while they%26#039;re doing it. i was asleep the whole time

2. sumtimes but i never used it because i wasn%26#039;t in pain afterwards

3. yea ur face will be a little swolen to help it decrease put ice on ur cheeks. the swelling will be totally gone in abt 3 days
Reply:1. When my dentist pulled mine, I felt NOTHING. I was even awake the whole time (all he did was numb me temporarily).

2. I didn%26#039;t even pop one pain pill in my mouth. I was in no pain afterward. All I did was drink cold water.

3. No, it will not cause any swelling.

***My bad experience was this- he dropped the first wisdom tooth down my throat. It lodged near my sternum, and took me about 10 minutes before I coughed it back up. No harm done.
Reply:The first person is a complete douchebag (pardon my language), but i cant really relate much to this, except to say that you have it better then me. My wisdom teeth are impounded, meaning they never grew out of my gums, so i will probably have to have an operation to get them removed. As for your swelling, only your friends will tease you, but someone will have to be a complete jackass to judge you, in which case, it shouldnt matter how they regard you.
Reply:I just what to start of with no swealing for me at all the problem was when I got them pulled it on;y hurt a little but a couple day%26#039;s later then It hurt alot but it%26#039;s not to bad
Reply:lol.. omg... it hurts really bad. do it on the weekends... sleeping will be pretty much all you%26#039;ll do. Don%26#039;t take the pain medicine that they give you, i sure didn%26#039;t but my dad took that away from me, so I suffered lol. It does cause swelling, but in like two days, it%26#039;ll usually go away, just get plenty of rest.
Reply:about a week then its a dull ache

they shouldnt

A little but it shouldnt be noticeable
Reply:Unfortunately this is a question that differs. My mother had them pulled and it didn%26#039;t hurt her at all but my aunt did and she could barely eat. Same thing happened to 2 of my friends. So it actually differ. But they usually prescribe a strong pain killer my one friend was prescribed Vicodin.
Reply:I had mine pulled in December. It hurts the first two days the most then it kind of settles down. The painkillers tend to make you nauseas, try to take ibruprofen or something else lighter if it will do the trick. Ice it- 20 minutes on then 20 minutes off. Most of the swelling should be gone within four days.
Reply:1) It depends. If your threshold to pain is low, then it will hurt a lot, say for 2-3 weeks.

2) It depends again. If you%26#039;re used to pain pills then choose the one which best works for you but if you%26#039;re not tell your dentist so that he may prescribe you properly.

3) Yes. It will cause swelling. I had my wisdom teeth pulled and it even caused some infection which made my face swell further. This gradually healed when I drank antibiotics.

The general rule is consult your dentist for any changes following your extraction.
Reply:When I had my wisdom teeth pulled it was a walk in the park. There was no pain, no swelling and I remember taking pain pills but I didn%26#039;t even need them (and, no, they didn%26#039;t cause nausea). I hope your experience is as good as mine was.
Reply:ive got mine pulled out and it hurt for a day it wasnt an unbearable pain but i could tell it was there. It didnt swell. i didnt receive pain killers either just anisthetic when it was gettin pulled.
Reply:when i had my wisdom teeth remove, it hurt for about 3-5 days- however i had mine extracted, not pulled- i was not given pain medication after the procedure- and i promise that you will want to ice your face after the surgery- when i got home from my extraction that was the one thing my mom forgot to do while i was knocked out- and i swelled up like a chipmunk- i would (and i%26#039;m not a dr.) reccomend to ice for 20 min and leave it off for 30 min- repeat for the first few hours at least, but ask your dentist... he will be able to give you a lot more viable info than i can... good luck, and take a couple days off for it!
Reply:1. 3 days and until labor it was one of the most painful experiences in my life. But, after labor not so much. About a 5 out of 10.

2. Yes, the codiene they gave me made me throw up.

3. I think the swelling will be gone if there is any by Monday. It%26#039;s seem like I had some swellling but not too much.
Reply:1. it doesnt hurt at all during the process and u have 2 options....a full body anesthesia which means ur unconscious throughout the whole procedure or u can just have a needle of anesthesia injected near the teeth being pulled and be fully awake......when ur fully awake u can feel ur teeth being ripped out of ur jaw but there%26#039;s no pain (i had all 4 of mine done that way)

2. the pain pills does dull the pain a bit but it%26#039;s not the pain that u should be worrying about...it%26#039;s the discomfort

3. depends on how bad ur wisdom teeth grew

if the roots of the wisdom teeth have not grown yet....meaning ur pulling ur wisdom teeth early and not waiting till they%26#039;ve sprouted from ur gums then it should be easer

but if u have the worst case scenario (which was wat i had)

all 4 teeth were tilted and beneath my molars.....so my dad had to cut them up first then remove them piece by piece....which also created a bigger hole in my gums so more swelling

i%26#039;d say u have 3-5 days till u feel normal again

the first 2 days after being pulled i just drank water....my own blood (oozing from where my teeth use to be) and i just slept...well tried to anyway
Reply:#1- It wont hurt too much right after because

you will still have the pain medication in

you from the surgery. After that it will

hurt for a while but its bearable as long

as you dont put pressure on it. Your not

going to be able to chew very well for a

week or so.

#2 Pain pills affect differant people

differant ways, and most medication

they would give you would suggest

nausea as a possible side effect,

however it might not bother you.

#3 Yes it will cause swelling for a 3-5 days

if not more...you can try ice to control

it but its not going to help much.

Just giving you the facts. Its not fun for anyone, but you would be in a lot more pain for alot more time if you didnt get them pulled in the first place. Good Luck!
Reply:1. Only for the first few of days.

2. No, I didn%26#039;t have that problem at all.

3. I also didn%26#039;t have noticeable swelling after my surgery.
Reply:Depends on a lot of factors. I swelled up HUGE on one side of my face, but I was 26 when I had all 4 of mine pulled, and I had my braces adjusted the same day. Having them CUT out may be different. ???

The younger you are the better off you SHOULD be, teenage years are best. I didn%26#039;t talk any pain meds with mine - it wasn%26#039;t exactly a PAIN but more of a discomfort.

You will have HOLES where the teeth once were. They will go away eventually, but it will take months. It is difficult to get food out of them, but a little swish with some water helps a lot.

They should give you ice immediatly after surgery, or suggest you do it when you get home. For swelling later (next day or so), the best thing to do is to put a warm wet cloth between the area and a heating pad - moist heat (per my Dentist.)

Be prepared for soft foods for at least a day. I at a lot of yogurt and such, and drank V8 to get my nutrients.

GOOD LUCK!!!
Reply:Depending on how many you are having pulled could make it a little more painful. Most people only need one or two at a time.

You will be given gauze to apply pressure on the gum in order to allow the blood to clot to keep it from bleeding. It usually takes around an hour for it to stop.

Normally the dentist will prescribe a mild pain reliever like Tylonol 3 (which has a small amount of codine but it isn%26#039;t narcotic so you won%26#039;t get any side effects).

No smoking or drinking of alcohol for 24 hours. sucking on a cigarette can cause the bleeding to restart.

You can eat but it%26#039;s suggested something mushy like ice cream or jello or pudding until the next day.

The pain is usually gone in a day, and the last wisdom tooth I had pulled I didn%26#039;t even need the pain pills.

Tooth extraction has come a long way since when I had my wisdom teeth pulled, and it is done with far less pain as well.
Reply:yes it hurt me

the pain releavers cause nausea

and your face will swell,,

but the swelling will go down by saturday night if you try this simple helpfull trick....

make some warm Tea bags, any flavor with real teas in it,

and fold them still full with WARM water over so they fit into the sockets or holes where your teeth usto be, and hold them there for as long as it feels good,,,,,, 10 or 15 mins or so

a few times the first night and next day,, and it will halve the swelling and shorten the healing time by days!!
Reply:i got mine out on a monday and was back at work on thursday.I had 4 taken out at 1ce.my face was swollen for to days.i didn%26#039;t get sick from the pain killers.you would want to drink lots of warm drinks.nothing cold(it hurts).good luck.
Reply:I had mine done a few years ago. They had to cut all four out. I was terrified. They stuck an IV in my hand and later the pain medication made me nauseous.

You%26#039;ll probably be swollen for a few days, and maybe a tiny bit puffy on Monday. Really the worst part for me was all the worrying I did before the surgery. It wasn%26#039;t half as bad as I thought it would be.
Reply:My experience:

1. doesn%26#039;t hurt at all if they put you under. Took about 20 minutes to pull all four teeth. After that I woke up and felt fine. Went home and rested for about four hours and then went to a social event.

2. No nausea for me. I had vicatin (spelling?) and didn%26#039;t have any symptoms.

3. Yes, but the swelling goes away in about a day. You will look fine the next morning.

Don%26#039;t stress
Reply:how much pain depends on if they are impacted (under the gum) or all the way in. the pain pills can cause nausea. it will cause some swelling but should last only a day or so. just make sure you follow all directions given by your oral surgeon. good luck.
Reply:1. It hurt a little to take them out.... I thought the Dr was going to break my jaw the way he was pulling (at one point I thought he was going to jump on my chest and put his foot on my chin!@#$%) I was numb so it didn%26#039;t really %26quot;hurt%26quot;, but the pulling and tugging was just kind of shocking to me. 2. Surpisingly, I never even had to fill the RX, I just took Tylanol, but he gave me an RX just in case. 3. The next day you really couldn%26#039;t tell that much....you should be fine by Monday, and even if your not, nobody else will be able to tell....
Reply:1. It shouldn%26#039;t hurt because your dentist will give you a pain pill. But it still depends on your tolerance to pain. But there will be discomfort, as expected. If pain is not relieve by your pain meds, call your dentist.

2. NO, it should not, unless you have a unusual or allergic reaction to it. Again call your dentist to inform him/her if it happens.

3. there will be swelling as it is part of the healing process but it should not be very big nor painful or your cheeks should not turn red. It usually get bigger up to 3rd day then subsides on the 4th to 7th day. But you can go to school on Monday. Unless infected, it%26#039;s not that noticeable.

How bad is the pain when pulling out an adult tooth?

I was thinking about getting braces for some time now. I%26#039;ve been very afraid of getting four of my teeth pulled out because of the pain. How bad would you rate the pain of pulling out an adult teeth? 1 being not so bad %26amp; 10 being the worst.

How bad is the pain when pulling out an adult tooth?
I think the pain is very individual. I had 4 teeth pulled before I had my braces and my 4 wisdom teeth removed later on in which 2 of them were surgically cut out without much pain at all. I never even took the pain medicine the dentist gave me and ate dinner that night. My sister had her 4 wisdom teeth pulled without being cut open like me and she was swollen up like a chipmonk for days. How do you normally handle pain? That may be a good sign as to how you will react to having your teeth pulled. I remember when I was a small child and my mother had gum disease. Back then they did not have any treatment and just pulled all her teeth in one visit. She was miserable. I can%26#039;t even imagine a dentist like that.
Reply:you don%26#039;t feel it, you%26#039;re numb
Reply:You are completely numb, so you won%26#039;t feel anything!
Reply:try and see that the pain is just like a bite of an ant
Reply:I%26#039;ve had two teeth out and honestly the pain *afterwards* is like 2 or 3 at most. The actual teeth pulling was not painful at all. Just a slight pressure of the pulling and that%26#039;s it. What was worse was the needle. That hurt more.
Reply:Just had mine pulled a week ago didn%26#039;t even know it was out till the dentist got up and told me it was over.
Reply:if you are going to a dentist, they will most likely sedate you if your having four teeth removed. after the will give you something for the first few days, then its just a little sore, a regular healing sore, but nothing excruciating. when you get the teeth you want you ll most likely feel so much confident about yourself, you ll realize it was totally worth it. on scale of 1-10 a 3
Reply:A typical tooth pulling should be generally painless during the removal process because you%26#039;ll be numbed prior to its removal. The only thing you will feel after numbing should be pressure. Most people don%26#039;t realize their tooth has been pulled until told by the dentist or dental assistant (this was the case with all of my pullings).

That being said, you will likely be sore afterwards due to gum trauma. Such soreness may last anywhere from several hours to several days.

How long after getting all teeth pulled will dentures be ready?

I have 4 teeth which I know need to be extracted. I have periodontitis and I know they will be pulling one or two teeth at a time as they loosen until I have none. So I would rather just have them all extracted and get a full set of dentures even though I%26#039;m only 35. How long will I have to run around toothless? I could probably hide for a couple days, but not much longer.

How long after getting all teeth pulled will dentures be ready?
The dentist will do impressions of your gums with teeth in and pull and replace the same day if you request it. You might have to go back for a reliner as your gums shrink but its better than having to bo without teeth.
Reply:There is good news for you - Your new teeth will be ready for fitting in just a day - maybe two .... That is the way it was with me . and you will be glad you have made the decision to have it done all at one time . If they are the upper teeth - it will be much easier to get used to the new denture . If it is the bottom teeth it may take a little longer to become accustomed to your denture - but before long you will be used to them and enjoying your great smile and good looks .....
Reply:couple of weeks depends on how long to make them
Reply:FOR A COMPLETE MOUTH EXTRACTION, THE IMMEDIATE DENTRES MAY BE PLACED THE DAY THEY%26#039;RE PULLED OUT.THESE WOULD THEN NEEDTO BE RELINED SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THE EXTRACTIONS.

YOU HAVE TO INFORM THE DENTIST THAT YOU WANT TO HAVE DENTURES WHEN THE TEETH ARE PULLED.THIS TAKES SEVERAL WEEKS.THESE HAVE TO BE PLANNED FOR. YOU DON%26#039;T NEED TO GO TOOTHLESS.
Reply:A denture can be fitted same day as exo as long as you have had all the try ins, set up %26amp; teeth shade made. After extraction your gums will shrink due to bone loss but the denture can be relined to make it fit....bone loss occurs for a period after having your teeth extracted so you may need to have numerous relines over the coming year or so...each reline costs money so ask the question to your dentist so you know what you are up for.

When you get your wisdom teeth pulled, are you completely under the anesthesia?

What I mean is, when they give you the general anesthesia, do they give you enough to completely knock you out, or do they just give you enough so that you are super groggy and don%26#039;t remember the experience, but are aware that they are pulling the teeth out? I get mine out next Thursday and I am just concerned about how my body will react to the anesthesia. I have never been under anesthesia before, and I know that they give you local as well as general when you get your wisdom teeth out, I guess I am just curious, because it%26#039;s not major surgery, if you are completely under..Thanks guys!

When you get your wisdom teeth pulled, are you completely under the anesthesia?
Depends on your dentist, all are different. It`s more important that the Novacaine has fully numbed the affected area. You can be under the gas and still feel pain.
Reply:I believe they do put you under for that. The wisdom teeth are attached to you jaw and can be rather painful when removed. Even if numbed you would feel a TON of pressure as the dentist works.
Reply:when i had mine done last year they gave me something in a needle and i was OUT..all i remembered was waking up in an area that they put you until you wake up..i believe you can asked to be knocked out..i dunno if it depends on insurance or not
Reply:I just had one of mine pulled out hon and let me tell you it%26#039;s not that bad, the novacaine numbs the area and you just let the dentist work. Alot of pushing and pulling but you don%26#039;t feel a bit of pain. When I say I just had one pulled I%26#039;m talking like and hour ago tops, still numb. So don%26#039;t worry:)
Reply:I got general anesthesia a few years back when I had all four wisdom teeth done at the same time. I specifically requested general anesthesia, as my doctor wanted to do the procedure with local anesthesia.

They told me it wouldn%26#039;t be as deep a sleep as when done in a hospital, but my experience was honestly the exact same. I got the gas first, then a needle in my arm (which I didn%26#039;t even register because of the gas), and then I was out. Woke up really groggy and swollen, but no pain. It felt as if just a second had passed. I was not aware of anything at all. They usually warn you that you may be aware of what%26#039;s going on as a precautionary act, but this is very very rare.

Came home, took some advil and slept it off. Wasn%26#039;t as bad as I thought it would be. Word of advice: make sure you have some %26quot;liquid%26quot; food for your recovery. Soup, yogurt and apple sauce did it for me, but my friend lived off spagetti-o%26#039;s when she had hers done.

Good luck and just get it over with!

Anyone every have their wisdom teeth pulled??

So I%26#039;m having one of my wisdom teeth pulled out in a few weeks, and I am very apprehensive.....it has to come out because it has a cavity in it, and I can only afford to have this one pulled. So can anyone give me any words of encouragement? I could really use it. What if I wake up while they are pulling??? AAAHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone every have their wisdom teeth pulled??
No. Idiot! Nobody ever has.
Reply:I got them pulled today! And it wasn%26#039;t as bad as I thought it would be. Thanks to everyone who answered, even the whack-off who was voted as having the best answer.....he doens%26#039;t know he%26#039;s a ba*tard. Report It

Reply:My friend had them pulled and she%26#039;s still alive.
Reply:They give you novacaine and they make it quick.

HOWEVER, stay there until you are certain that the bleeding has stopped completely.
Reply:NO! look at bush, see how retarded he is? he got his wisdom teeth pulled!!!.......
Reply:haha i had like 3 of mine taken out when i was a youngi.. it doenst reeli hurt.. they just put a needle in ur mouth, so ur mouth goes numb and u cant feel a thing.

good luki matey!
Reply:i only had my two bottom ones removed luckliy i didn%26#039;t have any on top. i was scared but at least i don%26#039;t have to worry about them being removed later in life or having them hurt to the point where it kills!!!! it will be all over, just take it easy, eat soft soft foods for awhile and make sure you clean the area really well. ((hugs))
Reply:no. mine came in straight on their own. Luckily, I was abusing opiates pretty heavily at the time, so I didn%26#039;t notice so much. but a good dentist will take proper care of you. cheers.
Reply:Piece of cake. Just be mindful of what you say when you are coming out. I think I was very mean to my ex and he still won%26#039;t tell me what I said.
Reply:I was awake the whole time and didn%26#039;t feel a thing.I only had a local not the gas.You will be ok.
Reply:sorry, this wont incourage you, but my dad had it pulled and he woke up during the surgery. he felt INTENSE pain, and saw he%26#039;s blood squirt out.but that was 4 years ago. tecnology is better. you wont wake up and you wont feel any pain. i promise. i you have any mp3 player. that would help.
Reply:yes. your cheeks might plump up like a rabbit .. but that only lasts for a while. it doesnt hurt! i had mine removed when i was awake and i didnt feel anything! dont worry!!
Reply:if the wisdom tooth has a good bite, ie; another tooth to bite against, consider getting a root canal. your better off to keep a tooth then to pull it.

if the tooth has no opposing tooth, might as well remove it, as it%26#039;s not helping you chew.

Even puling a tooth is not that painful. you should only feel pressure.
Reply:Genea, calm yourself, go to a happy spot.... This is no problem dear.... With the newest technology(sister is a dentist) they can extract without pain. I had all 4 pulled at the same time and only one, sort of grew in wrong, was a tad painful, yet with a mild pain pill, all gone. You will be fine and come out with a pretty smile again in no time. Just remember, happy spot happy spot .... Bless you

Reply:trust me.... just get them all pulled now... tell them to set you on a payment plan.... have someone drive you home... get the good drugs and take a couple of days off.... and watch for swelling.

don%26#039;t worry.. they%26#039;ll give you good drugs... you won%26#039;t remember a thing

The only things I remember that day was going in... getting knocked out.... then playing with the buttons on the stereo in the car while the wife was getting the drugs...and waking up on the couch... that%26#039;s it....
Reply:had all 4 pulled at once,2 came out easy, 2not so easy, but dentistry has come a long way, take some headphones and some of your favorite music with u,if the dentist doesn%26#039;t mind.
Reply:i hope wisdom teeth is not necessity for u. you get all the knowledge of communicating and other activitites by being an account holder in yahoo group. ok.....................
Reply:If you do wake up while they are pulling you%26#039;ll just go right back to sleep and won%26#039;t even worry about it. I had 5 teeth(all 4 wisdom teeth and 1 compacted tooth)cut out at the same time. I woke up for a second, the nurses told me they were almost done to go back to sleep, so I did. I was so out of it I couldn%26#039;t have kept my eyes opened if I had wanted to. Don%26#039;t worry about it if they are putting you to sleep. It will be over in just a few minutes most likely.
Reply:I don%26#039;t think I have ever met anyone who still has their. And your getting only one out so you will be fine some discomfort but in a day or 2 it will be gone. I know a few who had all 4 out at the same time. Plus the last time I was at the dentist I had 23 teeth pulled at one time and was awake the whole time, just be glad you will be sleeping and it happens so fast you won%26#039;t have a chance to wake up in the middle. good luck
Reply:no you are not going to wake up while they take it out. i had 2 of my wisdom teeth tooken out a few years ago. i couldnt even feel the pain. all i know is, you go into the dentist office, they give you a shot on your arm...you wont remember when you fall asleep, probably a few minutes after the shot. when you wake up, you will have cotton balls all in your mouth to prevent bleeding, you cannot eat solid food for prob a few days, in other words, you will be in bed or at home all day for the next few days, then after that everything is back to normal, you wont notice anything different in your mouth. hope this helps
Reply:i had 3 wisdom teeth pulled at once and i woke up during them pulling it and i remember them giving me more stuff throught the iv to put me back out, however i was not in any pain when i woke up , i had an iv plus laughing gas together, i slept all day that day so don%26#039;t make no plans for later . otherwise its just like getting any other teeth pulled, wasn%26#039;t a very bad experience for me at all.
Reply:You%26#039;ll do fine! My brother had all 4 pulled out at the same time. The dentists/surgeons are very good at making sure you have plenty of novacaine, you don%26#039;t wake up, you don%26#039;t feel anything, etc. They will also make sure that you are ok to go home. Normally they will make sure that someone is there to drive you home as well as listen to all instructions concerning your surgery, medications for pain, etc.

Now when my brother had all 4 pulled I picked him up. The nurse told me that my brother would be in a lot of pain, that he wouldn%26#039;t be able to go back to work for 3 to 4 days and he needed to take percidane (sp?) for the pain. I can tell you that everyone%26#039;s threshold for pain is different. My brother went home, slept for a little bit, tried to eat chicken noodle soup (the broth would%26#039;ve been better as he had a hard time opening his mouth to eat the noodles - it was quite humorous!), threw his pain medication away, went out partying that night and went to work the very next day. He was just fine!

I would say that depending on your threshold for pain you may be out of work 1 or 2 days, or you may go to work the next day. But your dentist will make sure that you are well taken care of during surgery and that you have plenty of medication for after surgery.

I%26#039;m sure you%26#039;ll do just fine! Just relax and think of this as just a little cat nap. Good luck!
Reply:I was wide awake when I had mine done..all 4 at once and they were impacted in the bone and growing side ways. I had lots of freezing and gas and a walkman. I recovered much quicker because I had no after effects from the anesthetic (like the puking or sleepiness) I got up and walked out of the office under my own power. Good luck, I also found I had great relief with a sinus tylenol as it helps the pain in your face, I found it worked better than the T%26#039;3s
Reply:I had all four of them pulled at once back when I was in college because they became impacted. I had an oral surgeon, not a regular dentist take them out. He gave me an IV, so I was completely unconscious when they were removed. Afterwards, my parents drove me home. The oral surgeon prescribed some Vicodin for me (about a weeks supply), and I ate soft food, ice cream and milkshakes for about a week. Yes it hurt bad, but once they are gone, they won%26#039;t come back again. I had them taken out over spring break and went back to class afterwards with no problems.
Reply:Did they tell you whether it%26#039;s %26quot;impacted%26quot; in the x-ray? If it%26#039;s not impacted, it will be effortless -- they%26#039;ll give you laughing gas and you won%26#039;t mind it at all. If it%26#039;s impacted, potentially much more discomfort afterwards, though you%26#039;ll still be fine during the procedure from the laughing gas and novacaine. It%26#039;s unlikely that they%26#039;ll knock you out.
Reply:My wisdom teeth were pulled about 15yrs ago. I%26#039;m still living.
Reply:They numb you up so much you wont even know when it is out. I%26#039;ve had three out of four out this month. The Novocaine needle hurts for one second and that%26#039;s the only thing you will feel. Basically, the needle hurts for a split second, and after It%26#039;s over you have a couple days with the Vicodin so enjoy!!!!
Reply:I don%26#039;t know how old you are, but I%26#039;m 29. I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled out a couple months ago. I took the day off from work. My dentist used a local anesthetic (though I asked for nitrous also) for the entire procedure. I was awake the whole time. He even had so much trouble with one tooth, he had to use the drill to cut it in half to get it out. I went home, took some ibuprofin (over-the-counter, 400 mg) and slept the rest of the day away. I was fine the next day. I had pizza, for goodness sake! Fret not! It%26#039;s a common procedure.
Reply:Actually, I was wide awake when I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled (nothing puts me to sleep). It hurt like hell, to be honest and there were many complications afterwards.

To prevent this from happening to you, I suggest taking medication before you have your teeth pulled. Ask your doctor what medication to take (my doctor didn%26#039;t give me anything). Get lots of sleep and eat your favorite foods before the day arrives.

If you do all of this, you should have no problem. I went through the worst case scenario and survived, which means you should be ok.
Reply:Thankfully, I never had to get my wisdom teeth pulled, and I must admit I%26#039;d be scared shitless if I had to, I%26#039;ve had bad experiences as a kid with some stupid dentist... though I heard a lot of good things about today%26#039;s methods, as in you shouldn%26#039;t feel pain or very little, so don%26#039;t worry! Go there with a positive mind, keep the fearful thoughts away and I%26#039;m sure everything will be alright! *hugs*
Reply:i had all my wisdom teeth pulled, in my case, the upper teeth had no problem whatsoever and it only took 5 mins each to do the whole thing, but my lower teeth was a painstaking procedure because it didn%26#039;t erupt, so, after taking off my tooth, my jaw swell for at least 4-5 days but it doesn%26#039;t hurt, so its ok, i just put cold compress over it. (i only let the dentist pull one tooth at a time) and if it hurts just take a pain killer. and remember to follow your dentist%26#039;s directions after.

p.s. i only got a block anesthesia, i wasn%26#039;t sedated.
Reply:Hopefully you won%26#039;t wake up during the surgery. I had it done. I had all 4 pulled put in one surgery. My doctor recommended this because I would feel the pain and swelling only once all at the same time.

The assistants helped me relax while I was put to sleep. I don%26#039;t know how long it took, but when I started waking up I started crying like a baby. I have no idea why. It happens to some patients. They just wake up crying. After the surgery, I was on antibiotics for a week and I remember taking one or two vioxx pills and tylenol or something. My cheeks were swollen for about 6 days. I looked like I was hit on both sides of my face, but we actually turned that into a joke at home. After the swelling went down the bruise spots went down too.

After that experience, I do recommend that you have all of them removed if you know they are going to cause trouble down the road. My wisdom teeth were impacted, so they needed to come out. Two of them were still under the gums, which was a little harder to get to and caused some of the swelling....

but now they are gone and not missed at all.

Another thing. Because of the fact that I got all 4 out, I had to %26quot;learn%26quot; to open my mouth again. It took about a week and a half. If you get all 4 out, you%26#039;ll be on soups, yogurt and baby food for at least a week until you can open your mouth again wide enough to get a spoon in full of regular food. I coudn%26#039;t even stick my tongue through my teeth.

Good luck, and don%26#039;t think too much about it. You%26#039;ll be fine.

AH! HELP ME! Yesterday I got 2 teeth pulled and it hurt ALOT! PLZ PLZ READ!?

Yesterday I went to an oral surgean, and I didn%26#039;t know that he was gonna pull them. He said on the phone he was just gonna look at my teeth, and then maybe next week he would do them. Well while I was in the office he said %26quot;Well u need 4 teeth pulled (i already knew that), and we can do 2 today, and 2 more next week.%26quot; I got really scared. When he was pulling them, I screamed really loud. And it hurt alot! Next week I have to get 2 more pulled. And I%26#039;m really scared, when should I do? ! PLEASE HELP!

AH! HELP ME! Yesterday I got 2 teeth pulled and it hurt ALOT! PLZ PLZ READ!?
Contact your oral surgeon and explain that you are in a lot of pain. Ask him to prescribe so pain medication. In the meantime, take some ibuprofen for pain and swelling. For the next two teeth, go shopping for a different oral surgeon. Explain what happened to you and ask for plenty of novacaine, and perhaps for IV sedation. Afterwards, even if your mouth doesn%26#039;t hurt then, ask what you should do for pain if it occurs.
Reply:tell that sico 2 give u pain killers durin the process. call and ask 4 nutrious or be put 2 sleep.
Reply:If you are in allot of pain you should seek your GP, and I would wait at least 1 mouth between pulling Anny more teeth out, you can ask to knock you out for the surgery next time if he refuses you should seek another dentist whom will refer you to the hospital where they will do it properly.

Best luck
Reply:take advil before the procedure so it will have time to work after. sorry to here about ur teeth! hope you feel better!
Reply:Look for another professional that can assure (you wont scream of pain) and make sure he doesn%26#039;t have a sign outside that say butcher this time.

good luck
Reply:First get some Advil. For some reason it works really really well on mouth pain. I have used it very successfully after oral surgery myself. Just make sure you do not take it for a couple of days before you get the next two teeth pulled as it could make you bleed a bit more.

Second, call your doctor and talk to the nurse about how much pain you were in and how scared you are and what you can do about it. They may be able to give you something to take before you go in to calm you down a bit. But don%26#039;t cancel your appointment. Get it done now and don%26#039;t wait. It really is easier to take care of this right away rather than wait. Trust me it only gets worse if you put it off. Take your ipod with you and try to concentrate on one of your favorite songs while you are in the office....it will take your mind off of things...and the more relaxed you are the better it will be in the long run. I know it%26#039;s hard, but it is really for the best. Good luck.
Reply:Go on back to get the remaining bad teeth pulled. Take a baseball bat with you, and whack him on the head with it a few times which will make him scream due to the sudden onset of pain. Then sweetly explain to him that you screaming in pain while he pulls your teeth out means he has not used enough painkiller, and that you would like him to use more painkiller on you for the removal of the remaining bad teeth or you%26#039;ll hit him again. And tell him you want a discount for teaching him that valuable lesson. If he refuses, raise the bat over his head in a threatening manner and wiggle it a couple of times.
Reply:I am so sorry you went through that sweetie. You need to tell them that you feel it and it hurt . You should not feel any thing but pressure, BIG pressure. I worked in the dental field for 18 years and had teeth taken out for braces, that is not a good experance. Next time take 2 Advil before you go and ask for nitrous It really helps. Tell them stop if you feel it .Let them know its a pinching pain not pressure. I hope it goes well.
Reply:yeah that happen to me too before i got my braces. 4 teeth to be pulled out but i requested a two week interval. they have given me a nice anesthetic and i can%26#039;t feel the pain at all during the procedure. just don%26#039;t think of it too much or your mind might imagine the pain. just relax, close your eyes and think of something nice.

my remedies when i myself had two teeth taken out: advil and ice cream.

How far gone do teeth need to be before they are pulled?

When is it tooth pulling time?

When the teeth just hurt like hell...or when they strat turning black? How do you know when your tooth is too far gone to be fixed without having to go to a dentist. I know someone planning on letting her teeth get worse so they just get pulled instead of being repaired

How far gone do teeth need to be before they are pulled?
Before letting her teeth get worse try to work out a payment plan with a dentist; teeth can be assessed and then told if they can be saved or not; the idea of let her teeth is most likely due to limited resources---no money---she can try to visit a public clinic; they can help but there is usually long lines because there is a lot of poverty in our land of plenty.
Reply:you can choose to have them pulled now if you like, they dont have to be beyond repair before a dentist will do that. your teeth, your choice. many people elect to do that instead of crowns because of the cost.
Reply:Teeth can be repaired in a lot of bad conditions but if someone does not want their teeth who are we to argue.

Stains can be removed with cleanings and brushing, and hurting my be from something else like an infection, not just a cavity.

Look up abscesses and read about them and then tell your friend about what can happen if they get a real bad abscessed tooth.

I got permanate teeth pulled this morning. Something is happening...is this okay?

So early this morning i got teeth pulled. 2 of them.

So it was 9:30 when they finished pulling and now it is 10:50.

THEY STILL HAVEN%26#039;T STOPPED BLEEDING!

Something is wrong and i have no clue when the pain will go away or ANYTHING!

Please someone help me if you had this experince. Tell me all about what will happen. EX. When will the pain wear off and etc...

I got permanate teeth pulled this morning. Something is happening...is this okay?
are you a hemophiliac? You have not mentioned which tooth? Use cold iced water to gaggle, use cotton gauze %26amp; bit hard on it. Talk less %26amp; swallow your saliva or blood in your mouth, dont keep spitting out. Apply ice on the are.Do not take any thinng hot. It these do not help, go back %26amp; get it sutured.
Reply:Dont drink anything or mess with the holes. You will have pain for a while, maybe a couple days. The blood needs to clot in those holes where they pulled your teeth. Call the dentist if you are worried and ask them what to do
Reply:I don%26#039;t know about the bleeding but when I got all 4 of my molers pulled my mouth hurt for at least a week...
Reply:put gauze in the area clamp tight the pain takes a few days if not stop then go back because it could be dry socket hurts like hell
Reply:It is not unusual for the bleeding to continue for a few more hours; however, if it is very heavy and bright red, you need to go back to the dentist now. If it is not heavy, fold some gauge into a comfortable position and put pressure on the places the teeth were. Pressure will help stop any bleeding. By tomorrow morning, you shouldn%26#039;t have problems anymore. Good luck to you.
Reply:You can expect pain for a day at least. Some bleeding is normal, take your meds and go to sleep for a few hours. My mouth hurt for a couple of days when I had a tooth pulled.
Reply:It%26#039;s only been a little over an hour. You%26#039;re going to bleed and ooze for a few hours before it stops, but it should be bleeding less than before. Your mouth will be sore for a few days, but you can take Tylenol to ease the pain, or whatever your doctor prescribed you for a painkiller. Do not take aspirin because it is a blood thinner and it will interfere with clotting.
Reply:HALLE,

OOZING AND RED SALIVA IS NOT THE SAME AS ACTIVE BLEEDING. IT%26#039;S IMPORTANT TO KEEP THE GAUZE OVER THE EXTRACTION SITE W/O LIFTING IT OUT TO PEEK AT THE HOLE.

TAKING ADVIL 2-3 TABS EVERY 4-6 HOURS WILL HELP WITH THE DISCOMFORT.
Reply:Ignore that last answer If they are still bleeding then you should go back to your doctor and tell them personally I would sue the cmpany!!
Reply:Just a couple of mths ago I had 12 teeth surgically removed. The oral surgeon gave me instructions %26amp; gauze. In the instructions it said to change the gauze every 15 to 20 minutes. Like dr. albertsaid don%26#039;t go poking around, you need the extraction site to form a blood clot. That%26#039;s why it%26#039; important not to drink thru a straw or smoke, dry socket can be painful. I was changing the gauze almost 8 hrs! Also like dr. albert mentioned it was mostly saliva %26amp; oozing...it got lighter after about 4 hrs. I also put an ice pack every 20 min. to redce swelling.

Pregnant mom with twins dream? Teeth pulled?

I had a weird dream today o-o;;

I dreamt that my mom was pregnant with twins and at first when my family found out about this all our reactions were pretty surprised by later we rejoiced? She was embarassed about it though throughout the entire time (because of her age; she%26#039;s 48).

Then later on in the dream, I slept and woke up (still in the dream) and went to the bathroom, where my mom (still pregnant with twins) told me my father removed my excess top left tooth while I was sleeping. I suddenly grabbed one of my teeth and pulled it out like nothing.

The thing is though I can%26#039;t stop thinking about this dream and it%26#039;s bugging me.

I also don%26#039;t need responses like %26quot;it means nothing%26quot; because that really doesn%26#039;t help -_-;; I know vaguely what teeth pulling dream mean but nothing of pregnant twin dreams of someone else.

Best answer WILL be rewarded~~

Pregnant mom with twins dream? Teeth pulled?
Babies in dreams often signify a change in your life (symbolic of a new beginning). It may be that two huge changes are coming up for you. The loss of teeth is associated with insecurity and/or self-consciousness. It may be that while you are on the verge of these changes, you aren%26#039;t too sure what to do with yourself.

I think it is a little odd the babies are associated with your mom - do you live at home? Maybe the changes will be in her life, but impact you (a new job, a move, etc...)

I hope things turn out fine - I don%26#039;t think these dreams should alarm you - but they are very interesting!
Reply:Your mom is going to be given a gift from God of double portions, your family will be surprised once she receives this gift, then they will embrace it. There are things in your life you will have to give up and you are loosing the ability to recognize important elements in your life.
Reply:It%26#039;s not true that your dream means nothing. Dreams are our brains%26#039; way of dealing with emotional issues we have trouble resolving during daylight hours.

Your dream clearly means you are concerned about family issues, not just because you dreamed of your mom with twins, but also because you dreamed of teeth. Teeth are also a dream symbol of family. Dreaming about teeth falling out or being pulled means you are concerned about your family members and family relationships.

During braces are on is it okay to have teeth pulled or brought down??????

i just got my braces yesterday and i have a tooth in my gum and i cant feel it or nothin but my mouth is way crowded but im pulling out 4 baby teeth but the tooth in mu gum has to pulled down by an oral surgen and i have a bracket in that spot where the tooth needs to get pulled down. how will that help my teeth getting straight if my tooth is getting pulled down where a bracket is.

During braces are on is it okay to have teeth pulled or brought down??????
well, at least you know that the oral surgeon knows what they%26#039;re doing. Braces are meant to help your teeth, and unless you want to become an orthodontist or an oral surgeon you don%26#039;t really need to know what%26#039;s happening with the braces since they have everything under control.

And your tooth is getting pulled down? Now there is what doesn%26#039;t make sense, why would someone have their tooth get pulled down when it%26#039;s almost nonexistant in the mouth? But after all, you have braces, and it is perfectly okay for teeth to get pulled. Two of my friends had teeth pulled out surgically, one of them had all of her wisdom teeth pulled and the other just had the two back molars pulled so their braces could fit. So that teeth pulling thing is perfectly normal.
